No way for me for both, sorry.

Bug#897930: linux-image-4.9.0-6-686-pae: Random hard lockups (no panic message) on Via C7 system

2018-06-24 Thread Ben Elliston
After weeks of troubleshooting, I have come to the conclusion that
Debian kernels no longer work on the Via C7. Even newly available
motherboards were released over 6 years ago.

Bug#902307: linux-image-4.9.0-3-amd64: systemd-udevd reports hung task during USB stick write

2018-06-24 Thread Alison Chaiken
Package: src:linux
Version: 4.9.30-2+deb9u2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I began copying a Debian ISO to an old USB stick, which may well be
corrupt. The system became very slow, and audio stuttered. Killing
the 'cp' from another terminal window restored normal operation. I
found the stacktrae shown below.

Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

after upgrading and rebooting to linux-image-4.16.0-2-amd64 4.16.12-1 my
sound card stop working in pulse audio (I'm using KDE as desktop).

ALSA can still see and use the card without problems, but pulse see no
cards.

If I reboot with the previous version (linux-image-4.16.0-2-amd64
4.16.12-1) all works as expected again without any further changes.

I haven't tried yet the new (unstable) version 4.16.16-2, but I will and
report back.

Here is the output of pacmd and aplay to list cards, devices, sinks.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can provide.

$ pacmd list-cards
0 card(s) available.
$ pacmd list-sinks
1 sink(s) available.

Trace for linux-image-4.9.0-6-amd64

2018-06-24 Thread Tito
Dear Debian Kernel Team,

on my Sophos UTM 425 I've experienced a network crash, machine was still
working and could be rebooted from the console.
Due to the lack of more info and the fact that it happened only once I will not
open a bug report unless you instruct me to do so.
In the hope it could be somehow useful.

Best regards,
Tito
