Package: firmware-bnx2
Version: 0.27
Severity: normal

The bnx2 firmware is not loaded from initrd on bootup.

The following message is logged:

Dec 22 09:00:38 waea kernel: [ 61.457115] firmware: requesting
bnx2-06-4.0.5.fw
Dec 22 09:00:38 waea kernel: [ 121.988348] bnx2: Can't load firmware file
bnx2-06-4.0.5.fw
Dec 22 09:00:38 waea kernel: [ 121.988348] ACPI: PCI interrupt for device
0000:06:00.0 disabled
Dec 22 09:00:38 waea kernel: [ 121.988348] bnx2: probe of 0000:06:00.0 failed
with error -2

I've confirmed that the correct initrd is being used.

I've extracted the files from the initrd and the correct firmware is present:

/lib/firmware/bnx2-06-4.0.5.fw

If I rmmod and modprobe the bnx2 module after the system has finished booting
it is able to load the firmware correctly.
