conflict between libc6 and initrd-tools

Hi,
I use stable "sarge" release of Debian and cope with "manual" installation of Hugin, package by package.

While trying to install libc6 package ("libc6_2.3.6-15_i386.deb") I got an error message that "libc6" is in conflict with "initrd-tools"

How to skip this problem ? Would changing my current "initrd-tools 0.1.81.1" to "testing 0.1.84.1" help ?

I'm not a computer guy and I'm a bit afraid of messing in core system.
