Might you be still be able to access the installation/upgrade log from
apt, to get more information? Have a look at /var/log/apt/term.log*
files for the respective date of the update.

Might be the same issue.  I simply did an upgrade in bookworm, kernel 
was upgraded from 6.0 ->6.1.  On reboot, nvidia driver was not working.  
Noticed the message during boot:

It's not entiely clear to me what you mean. Do you have dkms built
modules which did not get build? Which one? What are the error
messages you get? Is it the same as #1029063?
