Hi, this is an AOL type answer with a twist. I too have seen these types of Hotplug crashes. I got them while injecting EMI disturbances on a USB to serial converter at work (flickering neon lights, 3x table lamp). So it might be that one of your devices (USB?) got an EMI/ESD disturbance
