Dear Maintainer,

Today, I upgraded my jessie installation on my netbook, and then the
screen stays blank when booting to the Linux Kernel.  The last upgrade
I did was mid-decembre, so more than 2 months ago.  The system booted
fine since then.

The system boots properly, I can remote login through ssh, the
backlight settings work.  Switching between vc1 to 7 consoles does not
make the screen appear.  I can blindly login to vc1-6, or to gdm3.

Plugging-in a VGA cable enables the display, I see gdm3 interface or
the vcs.  Removing the VGA keeps the screen OK.

Using the FN Switch to enable/disable LVDS display does not solve the
above issue.

The bug looks similar to the one described in #697741, but the two
suggested workarounds do not solve the issue.

Happens with both versions 3.11.10-1 and 3.12.9-1.  Since the upgrade,
booting back to 3.2.51-1 gives the same issue.
