Dear Maintainer,

I have a small fanless system sold to me by PONDESK in the UK. It's
exactly right for a small router and gateway system. It has WiFi which I am not
using. It's described as

However, it's new hardware and so I looked at the boot log, just to
see if things were going as well as they should. Note that the lines
I've flagged are only present on a vanilla boot, unpack the file below to get a

So this didn't seem to be good news and I started to look for what
could or should be done. One hint came in the assistance message above - and I
booted with pci=realloc. However, this seemed to cause other problems
and lead me onto booting with
pci=nocrs which appears to be the solution.

I contacted the Vendor who were not really that interested in these
findings, I don't think that they had anyone who understood any of it
and if your conclusion is that the bios is defective, I don't think
that fixing it may be an option.

However, kernel.org and the kernel itself asks for people to report the use
of this boot option - hence this report.

Below you will find a base64 gzipped tar file which contains:

be happier
