How about either downgrading the importance, severity or certainty of
that tag, or change the check so that it also tolerates recommends or
suggests on python ?
AFAICT lintian _does_ tolerate Recommends/Suggests. If it does not,

Please add a check for duplicated translation data. By duplicated
translation data I mean the same translation data in multiple formats.
This happens when both the source and binary forms of translation data
are shipped in binary packages. The source forms of
