1.23.0 will have a check for this, because it is only triggered if you
either fail to have correct NMU version numbering and/or fail to mention
the fact you're NMU'ing in the changelog. Correct NMU's will not provoke
a lintian warning.

be. dpkg's implementation changed and was also fixed later,
it's not yet in policy, it could be a hell to change all version compare
implementations there are withing debian...

Bug#234978: [checks/fields
about running debconf-updatepo in the clean target would be in
place here IMHO.
Also, it's wrong to say PO files haven't been updated, as that is not
where we test for. More correct:
debconf-updatepo has not been run since the last change to your debconf
template(s)

Please fix menu subpolicy first, and only after that is done, clone and
reassign the clone back to lintian.
Thanks,

runs 'objdump --headers --private-headers -T', and this
is not easy to change (all other archs use that objdump).
Can you show us a dump like that with and without profiling, and
indicate which line is definitely the sign for profiling?
Thanks a lot,

debian-hppa, can you please advise? Has hppa profiling support? If so,
how can we detect that? Are there other compile modes that we could and
should check for?
Please keep the bug in the Cc.
Thank you very much for your advice,

whether other maintainers are inclined to include such a patch or
not (I don't know, I speak only for myself in this paragraph). In any
case, you'd probably need to write the patch yourself in that case.
