Boot .iso with GRUB2

Has anybody reached to boot a Debian ISO image? For example, installing GRUB2 on a USB stick with .iso files. I've tried this with no luck*:* submenu "debian-live-9.4.0-amd64-gnome.iso" {     iso_path="/debian-live-9.4.0-amd64-gnome.iso"     search --set=root --file $iso_path     loopback --delet

There was a thread on Linux Questions years ago about this exact topic. I managed to get Grub to boot multiple Debian Live iso images but ended up testing various applications from Pendrive Linux simply because everything was automated. I haven't tried with the new iso made with Live Wrapper so the
