webmin-status sets up a cro job for its user. However there seems to be
no good wa in Debian to remove a users crontab. putting the cron jobs
into /etc/cron.d seem like a possibility but then they would run as root
not a particular user right? What should I do?

Huh, hears an interesting thing. If I use main as the function I'm
checking then it works. But libapt-pkg.so.2.7 doesn't have a main
function.

quanta's control only.
IMO that would be the appropriate thing to do. It would have to be a

s the plan. In practice, a lot of people have misunderstood the
point of task packages and now they seem to be used a lot for grouping a
big bunch of packages altogether so they can be installed in one go.
