which patch system is in use
for a package. Lacking a better way, I wrote a script[1] to try and
guess for me. I feel like there should be a simpler way, but it eluded
me. :)

Dear mentors,
I am looking for a sponsor for my package jirc.
* Package name: jirc
Version : 0.5-1
Upstream Author : Kees Cook [EMAIL PROTECTED]
* URL : http://outflux.net/software/pkgs/jirc-bridge/
* License : GPL
Section : perl
It builds
the wrong version installed, I'd really like to get this fixed (I'm also
the upstream author). What needs to happen to get this package sorted
out?
Thanks!

(I've dropped the debian dir in
CVS). I'd like CPAN and Debian to agree, so 1.002 is correct. In
addition to the test updates, I'll be sorting out the ugliness of the
version number too. :)
Thanks!

I find this description not very descriptive. :)
What about burns audio CDs from MP3 files
if someone uploaded this package for me.

Oh! Yes, good catch. Okay, repackaged again.
Should I bump the package number for these kinds of repackagings prior
to real release? I didn't this time: it's still 1.29-1:
deb http://www.outflux.net/debian unstable/
deb-src http://www.outflux.net/debian unstable/

tree is named oes. So I kinda took the approach of a 20
character name that was more specific that oes, and made a man page
for both oesniper and snipe2d.
