Some comments on your packaging:
1. Please use "Expat" instead of "MIT" in copyright. There are some
variants of the MIT license, and "Expat" specifies exactly one of them.
2. Before you decide the name of a package, do some search would be
helpful. For example, $ apt list vim-\* gives
