mwavem sponsor?

I originally packaged mwavem in July 2001. Tony Mancill took over maintainership for a long time but orphaned the package in Auguest 2003. I have recently been working on the package and eventually I would like to make a new release. However, I am not a DD. Can someone be my sponsor for this
