Hi! Have you followed the NMU procedure? It includes posting the debdiff to at least one of bugs that are the cause of the NMU; the primary reason is to make it easy for the maintainer to apply your changes to a VCS. Thought I had, guess I missed that. Sent the debdiff to both bugs.
