I just uploaded this again, with the -data package incorporated in the
tesseract-ocr package, as it was too small (9kb) to be worth
separating, even as arch-independent.

I would be glad if someone uploaded these packages for me.

RFS: rsplib (updated package)

2007-10-20 Thread Thomas Dreibholz
Dear mentors,

the rsplib project is looking for a sponsor for the upcoming version 2.3 of
the RSerPool package rsplib. There is already the very old version 1.0 in
Debian, but the former maintainer seems to be unreachable.

rsplib is the Open Source implementation (GPLv3) of the IETF's upcoming
standard for Reliable Server Pooling (RSerPool). It provides protocols and
functionalities for the management of server pools and sessions between
users and pools. In particular, RSerPool takes care for server selection and
session failover support among servers of a pool. The rsplib package contains
a library for the session communication (the rsplib), an implementation of
the pool management component (registrar) as well as multiple example service
implementations. Details on RSerPool and the rsplib can be found on our
project's website: http://tdrwww.exp-math.uni-essen.de/dreibholz/rserpool/ .

The rsplib package has been tested on x86 and x86_64, under Debian, Kubuntu
and Fedore Core. Furthermore, it works under Debian on MIPS R5000 (SGI O2)
and MacOS X (PPC and x86).

lintian does not report any warnings or errors.

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/r/rsplib
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable main
contrib non-free
- dget http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/r/rsplib/rsplib_2.3.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Best regards

Simon Walter [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes:
I am looking for a sponsor for the new version 4.64.3-1

The package appears to be lintian clean.

The upload would fix these bugs: 412883, 425861, 429954, 432881

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:

What's wrong with this package, why is no-one willing to sponsor it?

I will orphan it soon if nobody is willing to upload new versions of
this package.

Probably nothing is wrong with your package, but you have to be really
patient, and ping every once in a while to be sure your RFS doesn't get
forgotten.

I'm not a DD, unfortunately, so I can't upload the package for you.

RFS: lusernet.app (updated package)

2007-10-20 Thread Yavor Doganov
Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for the new version 0.4.2-3 of my package
lusernet.app. This version is an update for the ongoing GNUstep
transition, along with some trivial housekeeping changes. My last
sponsor (Danial Baumann) reduced his sponsoring activity so I prefer
not to bother him.

It builds these binary packages:
lusernet.app - News Reader for GNUstep

The package appears to be lintian clean.

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/l/lusernet.app
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable main
- dget
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/l/lusernet.app/lusernet.app_0.4.2-3.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

What about observing list policies?

\Adam Cécile (Le_Vert)\ [EMAIL PROTECTED] (19/10/2007):
Did you tried to contact Standord to see if they could allow Debian to
 re-distribute folding ?

I'd rather see people contact them so that they consider a free license
instead of only asking for a distribution clause…

Then you could avoid having a downloader package and then, upload
 the whole software to non-free.

RFS: groovy

2007-10-20 Thread Glen Pepicelli

I am looking for a sponsor for packages for the the Groovy Programming
Language.

See: http://groovy.codehaus.org/

This is also a Java package as it is written in Java and requires the JVM.

There is a new release of groovy in a few weeks and we would like to create
Debian packages for it as soon as possible after that release.

Please help :)

Groovy is an active project and we have a LOT of skilled people that can
help if needed-- Probably the only reason we are only getting into packaging
now is that Groovy is pretty easy to install without a package.

Glen Pepicelli, on behalf of the Groovy community.
