Bug#676991: RFS: pyhoca-gui/0.2.0.0-3 [ITP #655603] -- Graphical X2Go Client System Tray Applet
I'm slightly surprised by these package-contains-broken-symlink lintian warnings, as the package seems to have correct depends, so I've asked the lintian maintainers about it. Please keep an eye on these warnings and probably remove the overrides one day :) This is probably related to bug 672297 (although then the description should be updated if it is). By the way, I believe that lintian asks not to override lintian warnings if lintian needs to be fixed instead. I.e. if lintian produces a warning that is a false positive and should be fixed in lintian, you should not provide a lintian override. This is in contrast to false positives that are difficult or impossible to fix in lintian, e.g. because your case is a corner case. Paul signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

Bug#660128: RFS: heybuddy/0.2.3-1 [ITP] (16th week)
Build-dependency on python is insufficient. As per dh_python2 manpage, it should be (= 2.6.6-3~). Fixed. Similarly, Depends of the binary package is not sufficient. Please use ${python:Depends} (instead of hard-coded python (= 2.6)), so that dh_python2 can generate the dependency automatically. Fixed. What is /usr/share/pixmaps/heybuddy.png for? Also, aren't files in /usr/share/pixmaps/ supposed to be in XPM format? (Please forgive my ignorance on this subject.) heybuddy.png is its icon image file. A quick scroogle search for debian filelist /usr/share/pixmap png shows many packages shipping both .xpm and .png files, and as there are no lintian complaints in respect to that, I'm going to assume that's not a problem. Shebang of the script is #!/usr/bin/env python. #!/usr/bin/python is strongly preferred (see Python Policy 3.1). Added a quilt patch to solve that, thanks. Copyright/license of CertificateValidatingHTTPSHandler.py is not documented in debian/copyright. Is CC-BY-SA-3.0 compatible with GPL-3? CC-BY-SA 3.0 is accepted by the DFSG, but not by the GPLv3. I've emailed the upstream author about the subject. For now, debian/copyright has been solved. I sent a separate mail about some warnings from cppcheck and compilation. These might not be blockers, but the following is, your package currently violates policy 10.1 The conflict is resolved by renaming ts to tsp. The packaging looks OK now (at least I didn't find any problems). You should probably choose priority optional rather than extra. Did you have a chance to discuss those cppcheck warnings with upstream? David -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-mentors-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Did you have a chance to discuss those cppcheck warnings with upstream? Unfortunately, I could not find your mail about cppcheck, so I ran cppcheck by myself. I think these warnings are fixable. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-mentors-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble?
