Hallo Keng-Yu,

as Andrey already mentioned, it is not enough just to put in your name
as new Maintainer and have the package the same otherwise.
You need to include improvments to the packages, then the package is
eligible for an upload.

I know this is hard as the package seems to be in good shape, but there
are some hints:
- Take a look at the reproduciblity issue. Maybe they are fixable,
maybe they are not worth (because gcc will be fixed soon)
- The -dbg package could be replaced by the automatic dbgsym one.
(- Maybe in combination with short debhelper format)
- compat level 10 would be nice
- there is some commented-out stuff in debian/control. Can it go?

Please take a look at them and then remove the moreinfo tag again
when you have an updated package.

The package should use Python 3, see
https://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/python-policy/ch-python3.html
If the package contains only a Python module, it should be packaged as a
module, including the package name.
Priority should be optional.
The Pre-Depends: line is strange.
Please switch to the debhelper compat level 10.
Please update to the current Standards-Version version.
debian/copyright is totally wrong, starting with the first line (the
current format URL is
https://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/copyright-format/1.0/).
"Fixing" tests by removing them is wrong.

Please don't build the Python 2 module, see
https://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/python-policy/ch-python3.html
Please switch to the debhelper compat level 10.
${shlibs:Depends} for -dev packages does nothing and there is a warning
about that in the build log.
Why is the lib installed by code in debian/rules? The upstream build
system should do that and it seems it does that, at least partially.
segyio-cath doesn't have a manpage (and lintian tells that).
Consider adding the symbols file for the library.

Please use Priority: optional.
CONTRIBUTION.pdf should be removed from the orig tarball as it doesn't
have a source and I doubt is even free (actually license texts we ship are
also non-free, but still we have the requirement to ship PDF sources).
The upstream "make all" runs the tests, we usually don't do that, but I
don't know in this case why can that be bad.
Otherwise the package is good.

debian/copyright lacks Source and Upstream-Name.
Please disable DH_VERBOSE.
Please fix lintian warnings related to the descriptions.
I don't like the .install.in thing, I think you should better use
dh-exec(1) or make the upstream build system do the right thing.
Consider using dh_auto_{build,install,test} with additional args instead
of just make. CPPFLAGS are already added to CFLAGS in compat 9 when using
dh_auto_*.
The package doesn't build: "configure:5053: error: *** libpoly library not

2017-07-25 Thread Lumin
Hi Andrey,

This package is aimed at experimental because I found
a problem by chance, when executing one of my
scripts. However the same problem won't occur when
using ipython3 or python3. So ipython3 cannot be simply
replaced by ptipython3 for me.

Due to that reason, I plan to move it to unstable if no
one complains about similar problems or other bugs.

This looks good now.

If

just yet.

V> Done. SO-versioning (and versioning policy in general) has been set. ABI
/API
V> has been stabilized. Version (1.0.0) has been released.

That's also OK now.

Some further problems with the packaging:

- The link /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libbitfield.so should go to
  the libbitfield-dev package.
- A shared library should have a debian/.symbols file
  (see man dpkg-gensymbols).
- The standards version should be updated to 4.0.0
- The files README.{Debian, source} do not provide any real info. They should
be dropped until they contain something useful.
- Please also remove the unrelated comments at the end of debian/rules
and the comments after the DH_VERBOSE line at the beginning.
- The files debian/*.dirs are unnecessary . Please remove.

Please fix your package and ping me when done, so I can recheck.

Cheers,

Roland
