I believe (because I have a pbuilder hook that runs lintian for me, I
rarely run it manyally) just dumping the following in ~/.lintianrc is
enough:
info=yes
display-info=yes
display-experimental=yes
pedantic=yes
show-overrides=no
color=always

just remove debian/dirs :)
