2016-07-21 Thread Andrew Starr-Bochicchio via nm
Hello,

I recommend to accept Breno Leitao as a new Debian Developer, uploading.
The account name is leitao.

 * Applicant background

Breno is a system software engineer working with Debian for almost three years
when I started the ppc64el port[1] in 2013 and presented it in Debconf14[2]. I
have been doing a lot of work in Debian, and, at the moment, I have more than
180+ bugs filled, and 80% of them has patch attached.

I work with Linux since 1997, initially as a user, and I think it is time to
become a DD.

Report for 'Debian Developer, uploading' applicant Stein Magnus Jodal

2015-09-15 Thread Andrew Starr-Bochicchio via nm
Hello,

I recommend to accept Stein Magnus Jodal as a new Debian Developer, uploading.
The account name is jodal.

 * Applicant background

My name is Stein Magnus Jodal. I'm 31 years old, living in Oslo, Norway. I have
a MSc in Computer Science and are currently employed as a Software Engineer at
Cisco Systems.

I'm a full time Linux user since 2001, and a Debian user since ~2003. I'm a
regular open source contributor since 2002, but mainly on my own open source
projects and their dependencies.

I've dabbled with Debian packaging since 2010. My first sponsored package was
uploaded in Dec 2013, and I've been a Debian Maintainer since Oct 2014. I am
now maintaining 9 packages with another 7 pending as ITP/in NEW. So far, I've
mostly packaged Python libraries and packages related to the Mopidy music
server, where I'm one of the upstream developers.

Going forward, I'll package more Mopidy extensions and Python packages, maybe
joining DPMT and PAPT. I also intend to help the Debian/Raspbian "distro" Pi
Musicbox to package as many of their dependencies and components as possible.

Regards,

Andrew Starr-Bochicchio

Hello,

I recommend to accept Graham Inggs as a new Debian Developer, uploading.
The account name is ginggs.

 * Applicant background

My key was added to the DM keyring on 2014-04-12.

I started with Debian packaging when Motif was released under the LGPL in late
2012 and was involved with the lesstif/motif transition of over 40 packages in
the latter half of 2013.

Since then, I have introduced some new packages to Debian; eclipse-eclox,
doublecmd, modem-manager-gui, p4vasp and asic0x.

I have also adopted some old packages (dx, xmhtml) and refreshed some packages
by becoming a co-maintainer (linsmith), submitting patches (rox), QA uploads
(mtink) and NMUs (kterm, xmpi).

I am a member of NVIDIA packaging, DebiChem and DebConf16 Cape Town bid teams.

I recently requested to join the Python Applications Packaging team in order to
adopt the wader package.

Andrew Starr-Bochicchio

non-uploading.

I discovered debian and free software in 2002, the dynamics of collaboration
was an important incentive for me when deciding to study computers and
networks; later I started coding for projects involving local free software
communities. I currently work as a system engineer.

I have been following debian project discussions for a few year, and fixed
bugs; recently I started to work on UDD-related projects; I intend to apply for
non-uploading debian developer.

Advocacy for Dmitry Shachnev

2013-09-22 Thread Andrew Starr-Bochicchio via nm
Hello,

I advocate Dmitry Shachnev to become Debian Developer, uploading.
Advocacy text:

I#39;m writing to express my enthusiastic support for the Debian Developer
application of Dmitry Shachnev lt;mity...@gmail.comgt;.

I#39;ve reviewed many uploads for Dmitry, and I feel he possesses both the
technical skills and knowledge of Debian packaging needed to become a Debian
Developer. In fact, I#39;ve already granted him upload rights for a number of
packages: mathjax, mathjax-docs, pymarkups, python-gdata, python-secretstorage,
retext, and woff-tools. I#39;ve also observed his work as a part of the Python
apps and modules teams, and I am confident that he understands Debian processes
and knows how to work constructively as part of the Debian Community.
