Ulrich is a long standing Grml developer (Debian based Linux live system, see http://grml.org/) who officially joined the project in september 2006. Since then he had great influence on the project and does great work on several areas. Besides bug hunting in general he did major contributions to e.g. live-boot which are supposed to hit Debian's official package during those days. Ulrich does excellent work in interacting with users and developers and I value him as a very important part of the Grml project. I'm sure Ulrich will be a valuable contributor to the Debian project.
