Package: advi
Version: 1.6.0-3
Severity: important

Running the demos (which are .gz-compressed) the first output is

Warning: Setting policy to -exec

and all actions are performed. Manually uncompressing all files and
running advi instead, the user is asked for each external programm
instead. This behaviour is=20
a) inconsistent and
b) for security reasons the user should always be asked.

So either advi should be switched to -exec by default (not
recommended) or zadvi should also ask.=20

Note that the man page states:
-ask Ask mode: launching an external application requires
       confirmation (this is the default)

(but then the man page does not mention zadvi)

Hello,
my error, I overlooked the .advirc file when reporting. Once the
package split is on its way (including the fixed man page mentioning
zadvi) we can check again weather we set the execute permissions
consistently, but no bug neede here ...

Greetings

            Helge
