Hello
I just tested the Open Office Debian packages available from
URL:http://people.debian.org/~nidd/debian/unstable/. I installed
openoffice_0.638c-1_i386.deb and libstlport4.0_4.0-0.1_i386.deb on my
Debian/Woody system, and tried to start the program. It fails:
% ooffice
[R.Travé]
You can lauch ooffice with:
~/.openoffice/soffice
and for printers fonts settings
~/.openoffice/spadmin
this symlinks seems OK on most installs.
Using which user? It was no ~/.openoffice/ in my home directory after
install (and I would have been very surprised and not very happy
; \
done
It seem to create absolute symlinks, so I am not quite sure what is
going on here. I checked the symlink on a Squeeze system.
Happy hacking,

OK for your case?
Yes, I expect this will solve the automount issues, assuming that
whatever was using the old path start using the new one instead. :P)
Thank you for following up on my observations and getting a fix ready. :)

. This work with most packages with content in
/var/spool/, but not with OpenOffice.org.
Would it be possible to move those files to /var/lib/ to avoid this
problem? Looking at the significance of the uno_packages files, I
believe it is a more correct location.

in the package libreoffice-base 1:6.1.5-3+deb1@u5.
Not sure which one of these packages have this problem, but found it
best to report the issue anyway.
Missing breaks/replaces?
