Where do you put the copyright and changelogs?
Maybe a different hierarchy for only changelogs is in order.
(/usr/changelogs/package-name maybe?)
/usr/share/docs should only be the actual docs.
As a side note, when is everything actually going to go to
/usr/share/doc as opposed to /usr/doc?

/usr/share/doc/[package]/docs.
This would cut down on the number of elements in /usr/share/doc and would put
the
docs in a more sane location.
