IINM: after a system crash - when rebooting the machine - an fsck is
crucial for the sanity of some filesystem and the data on it.
But currently a check is skipped in such a situation, if the system
thinks the machine is running

I get exactly the same error with my mid 2005 12 iBook, running
Debian Sid.This error has been present since my first install in
November 2005. I did not notice any effect on the behavior/stability
of the system though.
