Hi Frank, To begin with, I must say that this is not the easiest way of getting to know Linux. On the other hand: if you make it, you'll have much deeper understanding of it than someone who just puts an Ubuntu CD on a modern PC. I'd say that Lenny should be your choice. This page gives good
