For me it looks like loading of initrd stops at the same place, as if

The same package builds without errors in squeeze:

Good that there are patches. I ran out of ideas.
Another option would be not to link against libext2fs, but copy some
essential code out for ext2/3.
It is likely that more patches will be needed in future.
Like it is done with xfs and reiserfs.

Make sure, you select Power6 compat mode in Processing TAB for this LPAR.
Otherwise, installer will install 32-bit kernel, which produces errors
like this.
After installation, you can revert back to Power7 mode.

Hi,
in short:
1) upgrade yaboot pkg from wheezy (at least 1.3.16)

I can get old IBM 7025-F50 box.
Is there any chance to put any recent kernel on to it?
I saw only reports to install debian 3.0 / sarge
Are there any hidden problems?

Hi,
I am an active tester (not always porter) for the following architectures and I
intend
to continue this for the lifetime of the jessie release:
i386, amd64, armel
- test most base packages on this architecture (every day tasks)
- test arch-related things
- test lots of ipv6 related issues

For the image, you can probably debootstrap (at least --variant=buildd).
For the P710 LPAR, 'probably' not (not easily

With 3 Gb assigned to LPAR (p7) it looks correct:

It is 64-bit kernel?
$ uname -a
$ lscpu
I think that i never tried more than 1 Gb RAM for test linux, because
development AIX needs more RAM...
Should try that on P7 or P8.
