I downloaded a daily build (from 11/07/2004) of the Sarge installer to
test it, and I have to say it works quite well on my iBook G3 900. But I
have some questions about partman, which has replaced mac-fdisk.
Should the swap partition be in the beginning of the hard drive, or at

time now. I own an 12 G3, and don't really know if I should set it to
75 or 100 dpi. Using the DisplaySize option to let X find out gives me
105x105 dpi. What are you using ?

I configured alsa, have an alsa file in /etc/modprobe.d and did
update-modules. Still something won't work. XMMS work fine with the ALSA
output, but the mixer button is inactive.

by dragging the files from the CD to desktop (I believe you can
use both mp3 and ogg).
Problem is, grip just ejects my CD and does nothing else, because of the
special drive in iBooks :(
Same thing with Konqueror last time I tried. I might have another look
at it, though.

with these lines :
pre-install sg modprobe ide-scsi
pre-install sr_mod modprobe ide-scsi
And then update-modules and reboot.

Hi all,
I've seen something odd using my iBook 2.3 with Linux and MacOS X. Under
Apple's OS, I can play different sounds at the same time (e.g. a
Quicktime movie and some song in iTunes), but not under Linux.
I'm using 2.4.22-ben2 and I was wondering of this limitation was due to

destination screen, where none can be selected... Do I have to make a
HFS+ partition in order to install mol or can it be installed on an ext3
partition within, say, my /home ?
