Unfortunately, 9.10 is not the newest any more. Current version is 9.14.
I have packaged 9.14 already for Ubuntu Utopic (14.10). Before you
package it for Debian I want to ask you to not name the original source
tarball

I've just come across this issue during a dist-upgrade. The situation is the
same as
that of the original message: nothing is using port 631 or the cups socket, but:

It is correct that this bug was fixed in 9.10~dfsg-1, but details about
it in changelog are wrong: icclib was dropped in upstream release 9.07.
