I can confirm this issue. Downgrading back to ghostscript_9.06~dfsg-2+deb8u8_amd64.deb ghostscript-x_9.06~dfsg-2+deb8u8_amd64.deb libgs9_9.06~dfsg-2+deb8u8_amd64.deb libgs9-common_9.06~dfsg-2+deb8u8_all.deb fixes the issue for me. Trying to convert a XeLaTeX-produced document leads to this
