Hi, I have filed an RFP
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=823141 (I would rather name those WFP - Wish For Packaging, but, oh well) for a Python based timeline application http://thetimelineproj.sourceforge.net Contrary to the report it would need to be named, say, thetimelineproj py-timeline pytimeline timelinenavigator or some such because Mattia Rizzolo pointed out that "timeline" already exists https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/timeline as a source package (not that I think that that's a good fit for a generic mozilla extension source package but first come first serve I guess ... :) Upstream agrees that "timeline" is too generic a name. https://sourceforge.net/p/thetimelineproj/mailman/message/35055472/ I wondered whether someone in "pkg-python-apps" would have the resources and interest to maintain a package. Matthia suggested I contact this list to find out. Note that I don't _expect_ people to devote time and energy just because I think that'd be useful but unless I ask I can't know :-) Upstream's installation instructions are here: http://thetimelineproj.sourceforge.net/installing.html Fedora does have a package (Ubuntu does not): https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/package/rpms/timeline/ There's an unmet dependancy on humblewx https://github.com/thetimelineproj/humblewx which is available from PyPI, however: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/humblewx Metadata-Version: 1.0 Name: humblewx Version: 0.2.1 Summary: Library that simplifies creating user interfaces with wxPython. Home-page: https://github.com/thetimelineproj/humblewx Author: Rickard Lindberg Author-email: ricl...@gmail.com License: GPLv3 Location: /usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages Requires: Classifiers: Anything else I can provide ?
