Ported Python Policy to Sphinx

2021-02-25 Thread Stefano Rivera
Hacking on the docbook Python Policy is no fun.

I ported the current version to sphinx.

MR: https://salsa.debian.org/cpython-team/python3-defaults/-/merge_requests/10

Render: https://people.debian.org/~stefanor/python-policy-sphinx/

I'd appreciate it if anyone who has the time would give it a proof-read.

There are definitely sections that could use garbage collection and/or
re-writes for clarity, but the intention of this MR is to just port to
Sphinx without content changes.

There's no direct equivalent in RST for
python3.Y, the best is
``python3.Y``.
Similarly, I replaced 3Y+1 with ``3.(Y+1)``.

RE: Joining DPT

2021-02-25 Thread Sérgio Cipriano
Hello everyone,

I would like to remind you about my request.
If anyone could consider it, I would be grateful.

The package I was working on, python3-typer, is already on the team [1].
I would like to continue contributing to the team as a member.

Thanks,

Assunto: Joining DPT

Hello everyone,

I'm sending this message as a request to join the Python Team.

I'm working on python3-typer and would like to add it to the team.
I would also like to help with general QA work.

I have read
https://salsa.debian.org/python-team/tools/python-modules/blob/master/policy.rst
 and I accept it.
My salsa login is "sergiosacj-guest".

Thanks in advance.
