I added you to the team. Welcome :-)

Please note that Deepak Tripathi mentioned recently that he wants to
work on new upstream release of python-couchdb - please ping him on
#debian-python (nick: deepak) or send him a mail.

python-couchdbkit's RC bug is actually waiting for #576383
(python-restkit is in NEW already).

Myself, I think this is a good idea.

unless you wanted to use Debian experimental, debian-python mailing list
and our help since the beginning and later sync it in Ubuntu (if you
decide it's ready and we will not want to make further changes).
If yes, then I'm all for it.

great!

sure, as long as Debian is not affected (and Ubuntu doesn't waste too
much of our work)

we have experimental for aggressive changes...

* how many Ubuntu developers at least read PEP 3147?
* how many of them will work on huge changes that packages need in order
  to work with PEP3147?
* will Ubuntu force Debian to use these changes (you will *have to*
introduce them in 10.10 if you want to use python3.2 on desktop)?

FYI: I've been there, I tried to fix 2.6 related bugs in Ubuntu without
possibility to test them on Debian, it's not fun at all and I will not
do it again (since I got not nice comments and delays in return)

Re: Python talks at DebConf

Hello

>> The premise of your implication is false.

premise: something you base your reasoning on
implication: something you present as true as a result of a reasoning

In other words: Your argument says something that is based on an inexact
thought.

If I understand correctly, the implication is that people have to use
complicated tools, and the premise is that stdeb is unusable.

Hope this helps.
