Thanks! Would you also mind granting me access to PAPT as well?
I'd like to maintain authprogs.
I've read and accept the PAPT policy:
https://salsa.debian.org/python-team/tools/python-apps/blob/master/policy.rst
and my salsa login is: mestia

I have requested to join PAPT some time ago:

Python3.8 Transition Lessons Learned

2020-04-14 Thread Scott Kitterman
In the course of dropping python3.7 from supported versions binNMUs were
scheduled before the python3-defaults update dropping python3.7 migrated to
testing.

These binNMUs migrated to Testing immediately. This resulted in a case where
in Testing, python3.7 and python3.8 were supported versions, but packages had
lost their python3.7 support. This caused autopkgtest failures which appeared
as regressions.

In the future, I think it would be better to upload python3-defaults dropping
the old version, let it migrate to Testing, and then schedule binNMUs. That
would result in less churn.

This is sent to more than one list, so please pay attention to which list you
are replying.

P. S. I am not subscribed to debian-release, so please cc me on any replies
for that list.

I've moved it:

https://salsa.debian.org/python-team/applications/authprogs

Please remove python-team/modules/authprogs.git

2020-04-14 Thread Alex Mestiashvili
Hi,
could please somebody who have enough privileges remove

 https://salsa.debian.org/python-team/modules/authprogs.git

It is an application and should be located in python-team/applications.

Thank you,
Alex

Hi Andreas,

I'm having troubles to find time to maintain my packages lately, so I
think that's the best way to go.

I'll wait for Agustin's opinion, but it's ok for me!

Thanks!

Please move logbook to Debian Python Modules team (Was: src:logbook: Requires a package outside of Main)

2020-04-14 Thread Andreas Tille
Hi Agustin and Iñaki,

I wonder whether you would like to maintain the logbook package in
Debian Python Modules team (by setting the mailing list as Maintainer
and you two serve as Uploaders.) This would possibly enhance the number
of people who are watching this package and would simplify doing a team
upload for the package.

Kind regards

  Andreas.
