Request to join PAPT and DPMT
Hello I'd like to join PAPT and DPMT to co-maintain west and several other Python packages related to or needed by the Zephyr project. I'm an old-timer, in a way, but I have not been very active in packaging before. I'm looking to improve my skills and actively maintain the small subset of packages I'm using. My username on salsa is zyga-guest. Best regards ZK

(I see that it is a bit out of date compared to https://wiki.debian.org/Python/GitPackaging but there are merge proposals to update it.) My initial interest is in packaging pdfarranger, a fork of pdfshuffler, to allow us to remove python-poppler from Debian. I intend to add a transitional package for Buster to upgrade pdfshuffler users. I'll be filing an ITP. Thanks, Jeremy Bicha

I'll see about consolidating the changes later if nobody beats me to it. Regards, James

Request to join PAPT team
Dear developers, I am looking to join PAPT. My far objective is to become DM. As I'm self-learning in programming, it could be a long hard path for me. Near objective: - Bring Alfanous - Arabic search engine for Quran (currently has deb package in Ubuntu ppa) Upstream source code repository: https://github.com/Alfanous-team/alfanous.git Packaging effort: https://github.com/Alfanous-team/alfanous/tree/packaging/debian https://launchpad.net/~team4alfanous/+archive/ubuntu/alfanous Submitted ITP notice: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=861621 Its upstream source contain some binary files (JS libs, `lintian` error) and fonts with different licenses. They are not included in debian binary package, I've already reported that to the upstream developer. - Adopt another orphan python app (to learn from) Policy requirement: - Real name: Abdellah Chelli - Alioth username: sneetsher-guest - I read & accept terms of https://python-apps.alioth.debian.org/policy.html Kind regards, Abdellah Chelli
