I'm with the same problem in my Debian. When Im using kernel 2.6.32,
it's all ok, but not with 2.6.38. The error occurs when I execute a
ls in the mounted folder, but no problem is reported while the
mount is running.

It seems that apt-build does not clean up after itself as it should when\
specifying the --remove-builddep option.
I ran the following:
apt-build --remove-builddep --rebuild --reinstall install wget
It then installed the build dependencies
