my scripts, but it seems worth reporting as a
bug that headers are being shipped that aren't usable.
Specifically, many of the headers in /usr/include/quazip5 include headers
from qtbase5-dev, but libquazip5-dev does not depend on qtbase5-dev.

It's unlikely that the specific bug that hit Ubuntu here will ever affect
Debian, but IMHO the fewer preinsts we have in the base system, the better.

rebuilt and therefore adplug now builds successfully in
unstable; but with wrong dependencies on libbinio1c2 instead of
libbinio1ldbl.
I've done a QA upload of libbinio, so adplug can be rescheduled once
libbinio1ldbl clears NEW.

*under* multi-gnome-terminal don't have $DISPLAY set in their environment.
It may indeed still not be an m-g-t bug, but at least it doesn't appear to
be a gdm bug.
