Severity: serious

Dear maintainer,

your package analog ftbfs in current sid due to it Build-Depending on
either libgd2-xpm-dev or libgd2-noxpm-dev with versioned restriction.
The source package providing those packages dropped those transitive
packages on libgd-dev in favour of a Provide, though a versioned
dependecy won't be satisfy by a virtual package.

Suggested action is swapping that build-dependency with one on
libgd-dev, alternatively you can remove the version constraints and
keep the old package name, though that's not suggested since they
already were only transitive packages.

Thanks for maintaining analog!

Package: ampache
Version: 3.6-rzb2752+dfsg-3
Severity: wishlist

As ampache seems to be left aside by its developers, a new fork can be seen
here (https://github.com/ampache-doped).

It could be nice to replace ampache by this one, which seems to be a little bit
more alive.

Thanks a lot !
Jérémie

Hi!

While working on the “reproducible builds” effort [1], we have noticed
that analog could not be built reproducibly.

The attached patch removes extra timestamps from the build system.
Specifically, the patch avoids the the usage of the __DATE__ and
__TIME__ C macro which embed timestamps during the compilation and make
the package build unreproducible.
Once applied, analog can be built reproducibly in our current
experimental framework.

Dear Maintainer,

analog currently fails to build on hurd-i386 because it uses the PATH_MAX
macro. The attached patch should fix the issue: it changes calls to realpath()
so that the second argument is NULL, which forces realpath() to allocate
memory, thus removing the need for the application to allocate a buffer of size
PATH_MAX+1.

WBR,
Cyril Roelandt.

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package failed to install. As
per definition of the release team this makes the package too buggy for
a release, thus the severity.

From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...):

  Setting up mirage (0.9.5.1-4) ...

Package: ampache-common
Version: 3.6-rzb2752+dfsg-5
Severity: serious

The version constraint for php-getid3 ( 1.9.8.0~) is too strict for no
good reason. Since 1.9.9+dfsg-2 is in Sid, the package is not
installable anymore. Maybe dh_linktree is not as useful as it looks.

Regards

David

Hello!

The package currently has the following line:

Suggests: mysql-server (+ lots of other suggests)

It should be changed to

  Suggests: mysql-server | virtual-mysql-server

..as announced by James Page in Misc Developer News #37
(https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2014/11/msg00015.html).

Alternatively, if you prefer MariaDB, then the line could say:

  Suggests: mariadb-server | virtual-mysql-server

Hello,

The ttf-freefont binary package has been renamed to fonts-freefont-ttf
as per the Font Packaging Team internal naming policy.

The package provides a transitional package but we would like to drop
it and therefore we need packages that depend on ttf-freefont to
switch their dependency to fonts-freefont-ttf.

Thanks in advance.
