Hi & thanks for packaging "markdown". Unfortunately it was not what I
needed to be able to free wikis and issues from dev platforms' grasp
(codeberg in this case, but presumable github, gitlab and other wikis),
as it doesn't support tables.

I've built this and smoke-tested it on armel and it seems to work

-fwritable-strings in its makefiles, which disappeared after gcc-3.3,
and ARM EABI only works from gcc-4.1; it will never have gcc pre-4.1
