Bug#891621: xfonts-intl-chinese: non-standard glyph for U+840D ('ping2')

2018-02-27 Thread Toni Mueller
Package: xfonts-intl-chinese
Version: 1.2.1-10
Severity: normal

Hi,

I'm not sure that this is the right package to report the bug against,
and I am not really sure that my assessment of the problem is correct,
but I do have the strong suspicion that I am. Anyway, when I write the
character 萍, I got the 'wrong' glyph in Anki and eg. terminator, but
got the right glyph inside Chromium. In both cases, fcitx is showing the
wrong glyph in the preview window. I have attached two screenshots
showing the two glyphs. The 'right' glyph seems to be the one which is
contained in the image that also contains the pronounciation, which
happens to be the bigger image.

Cheers,
Toni

just as another data point: Today, I've tried the same on Jessie with a
the 4.7 kernel from backports, but the result is this:

$ volti
[alsactrl.py:__init__:41] can't open Master control for card PCH, trying to
select first available mixer channel

[alsactrl.py:__init__:49] can't open first available control for card PCH

self.watchid = gobject.io_add_watch(fd, eventmask, self.update)
TypeError: an integer is required
$

It looks like the Pulseaudio system does not find the card, and volti
subsequently barfs.

hmmm. I don't think I logged in as a normal user before the upgrade, it
just happened to be that the installer installed Jessie from a Wheezy
stick, but thank you for the tip!

Not crashing would be good. Thank you!

2016-09-20 Thread Toni Mueller
Package: volti
Version: 0.2.3-7
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I can't use volti because everytime I try to start it, it crashes:

$ volti
[alsactrl.py:__init__:41] can't open Master control for card HDMI,
trying to select first available mixer channel

[alsactrl.py:__init__:49] can't open first available control for card

self.watchid = gobject.io_add_watch(fd, eventmask, self.update)

This happens on a Dell Latitude E7440, which I have installed with
Jessie and then immediately upgraded to Stretch.

Bug#639281: worklog: does not survive resizing of the terminal

2011-08-25 Thread Toni Mueller
Package: worklog
Version: 1.8-4
Severity: normal

Hi,

today, I played around with worklog. Initially, I used a large window,
which I then wanted to resize. After doing that, the window started
continuously beeping, and worklog stopped responding to 'DEL'. I
therefore had to kill worklog.

Kind regards,

Bug#571093: amavis-stats: access denied

2010-02-23 Thread Toni Mueller
Package: amavis-stats
Version: 0.1.12-10
Severity: important

Hi,

I've just installed amavis-stats and found that the package does not
work as intended *at all*.

When I enable the package by symlinking its apache.conf to
/etc/apache2/conf.d, reload apache2, and try to visit the stats page, I
get:

 cut
Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /amavis-stats/index.php on this
server.
 cut

I've fiddled with the apache config snippet to change this, but
unsuccessfully so far (must have something to do with the symlink,
though).

Bug#571095: amavis-stats: wrong configuration chosen by default

2010-02-23 Thread Toni Mueller
Package: amavis-stats
Version: 0.1.12-10
Severity: normal

Hi,

when amavis-stats is installed, no questions are asked as to which
webserver is to be configured. Instead of auto-detecting the right
server (eg. I have only Apache2 installed, out of the list of supported
servers), the package silently configures to Apache. One has to
manually work on this and eg.

# dpkg-reconfigure -plow amavis-stats

to remedy the situation.
