Subject: modconf: Installation of kernel/drivers/sound/sb appears to fail.
Package: modconf
Version: 0.3.0
Severity: normal

*** Please type your report below this line ***
An old CT1770 Soundblaster card, previously working, and the relevant
documentation for jumpers was dug up. Jumpers were set carefully to
avoid conflicts with the ISA ethernet card. The card was installed and
installation of the sb driver module using modconf was attempted.
modconf reported a successful installation but then the "+" character
did not appear in the module list. alsaconf reported that no sound
driver module was installed.
