Hi!
According to upstream, there is a big chance that this is fixed.
Can you confirm ?

reassign 490686 klaptopdaemon
Bug#490686: linux-image-2.6.25-2-686 does not work with KLaptop
Bug reassigned from package `klaptopdaemon' to `klaptopdaemon'.
End of message,
Hi,
I'm writing to ask:
1.) why support for /proc/acpi has been disabled in the 2.6.25 kernel,
2.) if the KLaptop daemon (3.5.9) will be ported to the new sysfs
interface and
3.) if there's anything an end-user (like me) can do to make sure KDE
has functional power management when it ships

I do not think so.
Thanks Ana.
I had seen the first link you sent, but it doesn't explain WHY support
for /proc/acpi has been disabled.
I missed the second link you sent. Next time, I'll remember to check the
user mailing lists before asking questions!
Thanks again,
