This is a security bug.
KDE4 has made great efforts to enforce screen locking when a machine is put in
to suspend (S3) or hibernate (S4) modes.
After reviewing KDE 4.4, which recently arrived in sid, I have discovered that
there is
Hi Armin,
Thanks for your reply. I take on board that there can only be so much
manpower available in the team.
I'll make sure I'll send KDE bug reports just upstream in the future.

question is why is it not noticing when I plug in a 2nd
battery that it hasn't booted with?
Maybe the same underlying cause is related to #519313.

Hi,
I've got a bug report from a usability perspective. On my laptop I have setup
the KDE 4 battery widget/plasma thing to sit in the systemtray area.
That's great and all, and the visual depiction of the battery level is nice.
What I've

I've noticed that the battery widget in KDE 4 that sits in the taskbar misleads
the users about when a battery is still being charged or not.
Take this example with how 'kpowersave' from KDE 3.5 had more user friendly

Hi,
I've recently moved from squeeze to unstable, and with it the new version of
ark.
I've noticed that ark in KDE 3.5 used to offer a right-click context menu
whereby you could archive according to .tar.gz, .tar, .zip, .bzip2, .tar.bzip2
But

The KDE 4 battery monitor is quite nice in a lot of respects. One thing it
doesn't do
however is cater for machines with multiple batteries such as my Thinkpad X40.
When I plug a second battery with the Battery monitor running nothing happens.

Hi,
After some experimentation I've determined that KGpg automatically
encrypts the clipboard to a.) the selected key and b.) the encrypting
key itself.
For various reasons this is not always appropriate, however most of the
time it is.

Just a little idea that came to me.
At the moment Kwifi turns green in the system tray as soon as an
association with an AP has occurred. While useful, what I also quite
often need to know is when I've acquired an IP address
