My KDE is extremely slow when my networking is enabled, and works (I mean 20min
just for a start-up). So I use icewm which kind off
is better. If I can remember correctly, the problem also exist when I use
Gnome as my Window manager. When I use
I was contemplating buying Windows, still am. This is the first time
I'm using reportbug and it may just convince me that Linux is still on
the edge.

It looks as if I kind of sorted out the problem now by moving my
/etc/network/interfaces to /etc/interfaces.back. Then rebooting.
Then moving my interfaces back and then /etc/init.d/networking
restart. But I'm sure there must be a better
