I disagree. Bug reports are very useful for other people besides the
maintainers, not least other users searching for information on a
problem. The Debian BTS is always my first stop when I encounter a bug
in Debian.

My opinion is still that such bugs belong into the upstream bts and not
the Debian bts,* but if you forward the bugs (yeah, I was wrong here,
sorry), feel free to also open the bug in the Debian bts.
Packaging bugs are for sure always
