Adeodato was right: mandrake has a patch for it, since kdeutils is GPLed, I hope (and i think) it's ok to take this patch for debian as well. Mandrake's patch is for 3.2.3, but it works almost perfectly for 3.3.1 as well (i re-created the diff, so the lines match, too). The diff-file is
