Bug#838264: cantor: No LaTeX typesetting with sage

2016-09-30 Thread t2 dev
Sorry to follow this up, just thought I would mention that upgrading to
16.08.1 is rather straightforward.
It suffices to download the upstream sources and keep the debian folder
in the build root from 16.04.2.
You will only need to correct the "libcantorlibs" path in the
cantor.install file:

Replaceusr/lib/*/libcantorlibs.so.0.*and
usr/lib/*/libcantorlibs.so.6
with usr/lib/*libcantorlibs.so.16 and
usr/lib/*/libcantorlibs.so.16.08.1

It then builds for me on a stretch system without any issues, no
additional bugfixing required.

Best regards
T2

Bug#838264: cantor: No LaTeX typesetting with sage

2016-09-19 Thread t2 dev
Package: cantor
Version: 4:16.04.2-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

This version of cantor does not typeset its output with LaTeX when using sage
as a backend (as described in KDE Bug Report
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=312738#c6 ). This has been fixed in
upstream version 16.06 (according to KDE Bug Report:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=312738#c12 ).
Since this renders cantor unusable with sage, I would like to request that this
package be updated to upstream version version 16.08.

Thank you for your work
T2
