This is correct, but first we would need the last version packaged. For that
someone needs to put time on fixing the unit tests, I should have updated
almost all the rest of the packaging.

Bug#840844: kde-standard: Please add kdeconnect to kde-standard

2016-10-15 Thread Diederik de Haas
Package: kde-standard
Version: 5:91
Severity: wishlist

The kdeconnect package isn't part of any kde meta-package and I think it
should as it really nicely integrates my Android devices with my KDE
desktop and I therefor have installed it on my PC, laptop and all my
Android devices. As a matter of fact when I install a new device it is
one of the very first packages/apps I do install on that device.

On top of that, it is explicitly mentioned in the Plasma 5.8 LTS
announcement [1] and it is also featured in the video on that page.
Thus it is likely that users of KDE in Debian Stretch expect it to be
installed by default.

I would be fine if this bug was reassigned to kde-plasma-desktop, the
metapackage I normally use, or alternatively to kde-full, but I'll leave
that up to the maintainer. Or close it as 'wont-fix', but I had to at
least try to get it into a Debian KDE metapackage ;-)

Cheers,
  Diederik
