I've rebased the changes on top of 7.1.7+deb9u1 without any changes and
uploaded it to Stretch.

Hello,

As seen on
https://release.debian.org/transitions/html/auto-liblouis.html
a liblouis transition needs to take place.

The rdeps do build fine with the new packages.

4.14-1 seems to have been the first unstable upload from that upstream
release, so either send "fixed 891919 4.14-1" to control@bugs.d.o or
use the bts tool from devscripts to do the same.

i3 ≥ 4.14 contain the fix, so the versions in testing and unstable are
fixed.

The metadata for #891919 suggests that it affects the version of i3-wm
in unstable - is that correct? If it is, then please fix the package in
unstable first; if not, then please fix the metadata.

The metadata for that bug report suggests that it still applies to
unstable, possibly because the current changelog is based on the
experimental uploads and contains no reference to either the 1.14.0-2
upload or #889681. Please confirm that the bug is actually fixed in
unstable and fix up the metadata appropriately.

That version number has already been used in stretch, for the secure-

to become 7.1.7+deb9u2.

When scheduling binNMUs in stable, it would be useful to be able to
indicate in some fashion which architectures were scheduled, so that
queue-viewer can make the usual missing / complete decisions while the
uploads are in stable-new. (Currently it assumes that a binNMU for any
single architecture is sufficient for acceptance.)

This can now be done by specifying an "expect_arches" metadata key in a
comment file (i.e. after the sig-sep in the file).

The value is expected to be a space-separated list of architectures for
which the binNMU has been scheduled.

Bug#902939: Retry linux 4.17.3-1 build on s390x

2018-07-03 Thread Ben Hutchings
Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal

The build on s390x was aborted—the log shows:

E: ABORT: Received TERM signal (requesting cleanup and shutdown)

This doesn't seem to be a real build failure, so please retry it:

gb linux_4.17.3-1 . s390x .
