also fails the same way on ppc64 and s390x. It therefore
looks like a 64-bit big endian issue. It could be for example a pointer
to an int value casted to a pointer to a long value or vice-versa.

Maybe because Ubuntu decided to build it only on s390x. Debian ships it
built for other architectures and it works perfectly. You can emulate an
s390x with qemu-system-s390x on amd64, arm or mips. This firmware works
too.

to allocate insane amount of memory, 2560 PiB, causing the build daemon
to OOM just to maintain the page tables of such amount of me

90x is still using gcc 4.6. This has been
decided to switch to gcc-4.8 a few weeks ago and it has been already
implemented in the SVN. It's only waiting for an upload from Matthias
Klose.

Yes, I can re-enable the hppa wanna-build database if it is act

There is no point in trying to update an s390 specific patch while this
architecture doesn't exist anymore in jessie and sid, replaced by s390x.
This patch should just be removed and s390 removed from the
architectures handled in java-common.

This morning it seems the Packages list is fine, and that the packages
correctly appear on package.d.o. I guess there was a small glitch in the
previous install run.
